The caribou is a very important animal for Inuit people of the far north.  For some people it is their main source of food in remote Arctic communities.  Manasie Atasanilk has flawlessly crafted this caribou with very rare greyish/clear soapstone.  The artist has also used caribou antler for the antlers on this truly original piece of Inuit Art.
